The Lexington Horse Park!
Adam and I were ready to go somewhere and get away from the house/pool/Lexington for a change. Avery had a great time seeing the horses, riding a pony, going on a trolley ride, getting a little poison ivy on her arm, and throwing pretzels to the birds who flew around our picnic table at lunch. Anna was a perfect baby the entire time. Here are some pictures!

Vitamin D Milk!
We have been transitioning Anna to whole milk and she is doing really well. We now give her whole milk in her sippy cup and whole milk/breast milk combo in her bottles. Hopefully we will work on even more transitioning over the next three weeks to have her all on whole milk and a cup! Got to love all the transitions that happen when they turn 1!

Anna's Tubes
Anna had her tubes placed this morning and did very well! She had a little harder time waking up from the anesthesia than Avery did, but overall she did great. The MD said that there was a lot of thick fluid behind her ears that was just sitting there, so this should help prevent further infections. She has done great all day and is ready to return to school tomorrow!

Anna 11 Months
A little bit about Anna....she is still very easy going and a great baby! She is taking two 1.5 to 2 hour naps a day, crawling everywhere, pulling to stand, cruising some at the table and toy boxes, has turned a few times to try to take some steps, she can walk pushing her push toy with assist. She is signing "more", "all done", "milk", and "thank you". She understands "all done" and "thank you" without being told the word, "more" occasionally, and "milk" when she gets her sippy cup. She is drinking really well from a sippy cup, but we are not quite ready for to give up bottles yet. She is currently transitioning from breastmilk to a breastmilk/vitamin D milk combo and having no trouble at all. She will eat anything you put in front of her; cheese, peas, lima beans, black beans, carrots, bananas, pears, grapes, macaroni, noodles, crackers, cheese puffs, cottage cheese, yogurt, waffles, pancakes, and much more. She is really starting to not want any baby food at all which is so weird to me since Avery still likes some of it at 3! Praise the Lord that Anna is a good eater because this is allowing Avery to really try new things....watermelon, raspberries, and turkey! Anna is sleeping fairly well, she goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes anywhere from 5:20-6:00, but then will go back to sleep once I nurse her for another hour or so. We have tried to let her cry in the morning, but it wakes Avery and it is a loud/painful/piercing cry...she is cutting her molars so we are hoping this is the early wake up or from fluid on her ears. She gets tubes on Wednesday morning, so I hope this will help with her verbal skills as well....she is saying dada, mama, and bye bye....she says "boo" when she sees a book, and "ba" to a ball after we say the words. She is really starting to mimick our words which I have been waiting for. She likes to play with anything her sister has in her hands and she enjoyed trying to chase her Avery tonight...the giggles that filled the house were just precious! Overall she is doing so well and we couldn't be more blessed with our sweet girl!
