LONG WEEK!
It has been a long week...We went back to the MD on Monday because I felt that Anna's ears weren't any better and sure enough she has a bilateral ear infection now. She has currently been on antibiotics for 21 days and will continue to be on for at least another week and a half. She seems to be doing better over the past few days, but we will see if this clears her up. We follow up with the MD in 2 weeks to make sure that the medicine has worked, if not we will do antibiotic shots....then most likely tubes will be in the future if this continues on.
On another note, I discussed with the MD more of my concerns with Anna's development as far as crawling and not wanting to put weight through her knees and legs....which has led us to a First Steps Referral. First Steps is Physical Therapy that will come to the house to evaluate and treat based on where she should be. I am starting PT sessions with her until the First Steps is coordinated and then will most likely take over the PT sessions unless Anna really fights through them...then Mommy doesn't want to be associated with the torture. She is very weak in her hips and abdominal muscles which makes crawling and kneeling very difficult.
I have not taken any pictures this week, but I still have some more post to do from Mother's Day and Anna's Baby Dedication....right now I am too tired to do them.

Tall Kneeling
Yes, I put Anna in this position. She seems to be behind (by Mommy's standards...not the MD) with her gross motor development. She seems to be weak in her hips and legs, so I started doing mini PT sessions with her to work on that. We have a long way to go, but she is tolerating them somewhat. She did army crawl forward this weekend a few times which has been improvement.

9 Months Old!
I took Anna for her 9 month check-up on April 30th. Yes, I am behind in blogging, but it has been a crazy time here since the 9 month appointment. She is 27.5 inches (48%), 18.3 pounds (30%), and 45.5 head circumference (87%). She had a right ear infection...which did not surprise me since she has been teething so much. Her iron levels were normal, no extra iron needed.
The pediatrician put her on Antibiotics for the ear infection...each dose her reaction got worse and now we know that she does not tolerate Amoxicillan. So after being on an antibiotic for 5 days that did not work, she was put on a stronger one and is doing much better. It has now been 2 full weeks and we are getting close to being back to normal. She still has an awful cough that is still lingering and her appetite is slowly coming back. Over the past two weeks, she has lost weight...when I weighed her on our scale she had lost 1.7 pounds. Luckily she is coming around and doing much better. Since this time, this past week Avery was at the doctor for what I thought might have been an ear infection, but was strep. Avery is on an antibiotic for that and doing much better. Then Adam currently has strep and is on antibiotics and hasn't really moved from the bed/couch for the past 24 hours. Needless to say, I am looking forward to all my family feeling better and keeping myself from getting it. I haven't taken many pictures lately due to all the illnesses and quite frankly, I am just trying to keep up with the daily tasks and get rest myself.

Anna enjoys the lemons too!
