Doctors checkup

Avery saw Dr. Riley today for the second time since leaving the hospital. Her bilirubin (jaundice) was still a little high after yesterday, and today her levels had peaked and were on their way back down. So, no more heel pricks, and no more doctors for two whole weeks!

Heel pricks really do suck:

First Bath!!!

Avery had her first bath last night. She was surprisingly calm until Kelli and I put the lotion on her tummy, back, legs, and arms. She definitely loves to be wrapped up, warm, and cuddled. She definitely does not like being naked (it'll be that way till she's at least 30, right?) or cold.

Regardless, this is the cutest kid God ever made. We say our prayers and thank God for such a beautiful, healthy, wonderful child.

Bright-eyed and ready to go!

We can't immerse her yet because of the cord, so we settled for the kitchen counter and little teeny washcloths

WRAP ME UP and KEEP ME WARM!!!

Feel free to leave comments

Kelli and I like to know if you're reading the blog. Please leave a comment or two every now and then.

Visitors and sleepytime!!!

We are so blessed that Avery is a good sleeper. We both have gotten at least 5 1/2 hours of sleep every night (with naptime during the days) since Avery arrived. Daddy gets a little more at nighttime, and mommy gets a bit more during the daytime. Here's proof that Avery is a good sleeper!!

And now for those who helped us welcome Avery into the world!!!

Maternity Photos

Kelli and I found a local photographer here in town that did maternity photography in a really neat way. The photographer is Amber Schmidt, and her studio is called Kentucky Studio. She did wonderful work, and she is nice enough to put a few pictures on her blog, and I'm going to put them below.

Enjoy!!

This one is my absolute favorite:

We are very glad we did this session when we did, because it was only about two weeks ago, and if Avery wanted to come any sooner, it might not have happened.

Lots and Lots of pictures of Baby AVERY!!!

The hospital's free wireless internet doesn't allow photobucket, which is the site I use to host the pictures, so I'm going to do this quickly (from home), spare the talk, post the pictures, and get back to the hospital to see my baby girl(s)!
